The “Respect” exhibition at the Museum der Arbeit currently invites visitors to rethink key issues relating to identity, discrimination and equality. Young people aged 14 and over and young adults can experience a diverse presentation that not only offers exciting impulses for self-reflection, but also promotes dialogue about respectful interaction in school, education and professional life. With a combination of short texts, video clips, playful modules and interactive places for debating, “Respekt” creates a lively atmosphere for reflection and discussion about living together in a diverse society.
School classes and youth groups in particular benefit from customised offers: In addition to an accompanied visit to the exhibition with reflection and evaluation phases, the focus is on workshops that teach topics such as a strong class community or how to deal with discrimination in a practical and action-orientated way. Under expert guidance, participants develop their own codes of values for successful coexistence and learn how they can stand up for others. The exhibition is designed to go beyond traditional educational formats and open up new spaces for diversity sensitivity and democratic coexistence.
