The exhibition “Hello Image. The Staging of Things” at the Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe Hamburg invites visitorsto discover the path from product to iconic object. It presents photographs by renowned product photographer Hans Hansen as well as contributions by renowned designersand experts such as Konstantin Grcic, Viktoria Lea Heinrich and Deyan Sudjic. A comprehensive catalogue has been published to accompany the exhibition, offering exciting insights into the interplay between design, photography and everyday aesthetics on 248 pages with 194 illustrations.
Special highlights of the exhibition are the various educational formats. Visitor groups can choose between classic guided tours and interactive museum talks — including the “design lab”, where products can be put through their paces and tested. A stop-motion workshop opens up a creative approach to object staging and encourages visitors to stage design objects themselves.
