British artist Rebecca Louise Law combines nature and art in spectacular installations that not only beguile the senses but also convey poetic messages. At the Museum of Art and Cultural History Schloss Gottorf, Law is showing an impressive collection of over 750,000 dried flowers arranged into a large-scale floral installation entitled “The Archive”. Visitors can immerse themselves in a sensory journey through the history of her work and experience how each stem and each blossom creates a narrative about growth, change and transience.
Rebecca Louise Law always works in dialogue with local people: plants are specially grown, harvested and processed together, resulting not only in works of art, but also in encounters and awareness of the close connection between our lives and nature. As you walk through her installations, you can sense the scent of dried flowers and recognise the beauty and vulnerability of nature — and our responsibility to preserve it. The exhibition invites you to discover art that transforms spaces and raises awareness of the environment.
