Art Con­nects: Young peo­p­le shape the Bal­tic Sea wi­th art

Wi­th the new ex­hi­bi­ti­on “Lu­ti­zen am Tol­len­se­see”, the Neu­bran­den­burg Re­gio­nal Mu­se­um is ope­ning a fa­sci­na­ting win­dow in­to the world of Sla­vic cul­tures in Meck­len­burg. From 20 Sep­tem­ber 2025 to 15 March 2026, vi­si­tors can mar­vel at ex­tra­or­di­na­ry ar­chaeo­lo­gi­cal finds from the Lu­ti­zen and their eas­tern neigh­bours. Vi­si­tors can ex­pect ex­ci­ting in­sights in­to the life and spi­ri­tu­al world of an im­portant Sla­vic eth­nic group that on­ce li­ved on La­ke Tol­len­se­see. The ex­hi­bi­ti­on high­lights bo­th his­to­ri­cal sources and cur­rent ar­chaeo­lo­gi­cal re­se­arch fin­dings and brings the di­ver­se cul­tu­re of the Slavs im­pres­si­ve­ly to life.

The ex­hi­bi­ti­on will be ac­com­pa­nied by a va­ried sup­port­ing pro­gram­me wi­th lec­tures by re­now­ned ex­perts who will shed light on the to­pic from va­rious sci­en­ti­fic per­spec­ti­ves. If you want to del­ve deeper in­to the histo­ry and ar­chaeo­lo­gy of the Sla­vic sett­le­ment area, the re­gio­nal mu­se­um — in the his­to­ric Fran­ciscan mo­nas­tery — is the right place for you.
