The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen is presenting a comprehensive retrospective of the American artist and writer Anne Truitt (1921–2004) for the first time in Europe. Over 100 impressive works spanning four decades of artistic creation make the show a special highlight for lovers of minimal art. Truitt is one of the most influential personalities of this art movement, which is characterised by clear forms, bright colours and the pursuit of essence. In the tradition of greats such as Donald Judd, Robert Morris and Imi Knoebel, Truitt combines the expressive power of colour with the emotional qualities of space and form. Her works encourage us to explore the relationship between material, perception and emotion from a new perspective.
The exhibition takes place at K20 at Grabbeplatz 5 in Düsseldorf and is open from Tuesday to Sunday and on public holidays from 11 am to 6 pm. Anyone wishing to experience the fascinating world of Minimal Art can conveniently book tickets online or find out about current offers and guided tours from the visitor service. With its exhibition, the art collection invites visitors to discover the aesthetic and intellectual influence of Anne Truitt and to be inspired by the depth and beauty of her works.
